here's a list of funny things that happened in Uganda. It includes funny cultural differences, and silly mistakes that we made :)

Also along with this image-
“Did you guys know those were banana trees?” -Dr. G.
“No” -All of us
“you guys were raised in a laboratory!” Dr. G.
“My aunts name is Traci and her husbands name is Steven and her sons name is daniel and she made a family email called STDfam@gmail.com”
I asked Scodius (the seamstress and tour guide) if she swam, and this was her response-
"I don’t swim. I swim in the bathtub!"
Dorothy, one of the midwives, was actually about our age! She was so funny, and she was just a character (very sassy too). When Olivia was talking one time, she just blurted out "Your accent disturbs me!"
I struck up a conversation with Tony, our driver, about driving conditions in Uganda.
"Have you ever been pulled over? You don’t have to tell me if you don't want to..." -Me
“Oh. Many times. Many many times.” Tony
The night before Ella left (she had to leave early), she was giving us all a heartfelt goodbye, and it went exactly as planned.
“I’ll never forget you” -Ella
“I’ll never forget you either. You’re in my daily log” -Haley
When John, the landscaper, allowed us to cut grass with the slasher. It didn't go too well.
(I don't actually suggest watching this. It's highly embarrassing)
Juliette had a fun card trick that she liked to show everyone. It was relatively simple, but still really fun to watch. Every time we showed any local any trick or "magic", they were completely astounded. Or annoyed.
After Juliette spent five minutes showing Carole, our local coordinator, a magic trick (and it worked)
“Was that cool?” -Juliette
“No” -Carole
We would play matatu with some locals, and they would ALWAYS cheat. It was so funny. They would always say, "Local man is struggling locally," whenever a Ugandan was losing the game.
Juliette borrowed a book from Scodius (the seamstress and tour guide) near the beginning of our 5 weeks, and gave it back to her the night that she left.
"Scodius here’s your book back! I didn’t get a chance to finish it. ... or start it." -Juliette
There were so many fun moments! So many times that we just laughed until our sides hurt, and it was wonderful.
